Dr. Collins first pursued alternative and natural medicine as a mid-wife, delivering hundreds of babies and providing pediatric care. An advocate for patient choice in medicine, Dr. Collins has practiced Classical Homeopathy for over 35 years and Acupuncture for over 20 years.
With a BS in biology, Dr. Collins graduated in 1996 from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. She interned with Dr. Farra Swan in Tempe, Arizona. Dr. Collins also served as faculty and adjunct faculty at two integrative medical schools and at Phoenix Institute of Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture. She did a rotation at Mesa General Hospital in Cardiology. Prior to locating in San Diego, Dr. Collins operated a family practice in Arizona.
With a focus on women and children’s health, Dr. Collins specializes in chronic disease, diabetes, cardiac issues, thyroid problems and hormone imbalances.
Drs. Drew and Kaity Collins have raised four children in a blended family. Sharing a love for the outdoors with Dr. Drew, Dr. Collins loves organic gardening and farming and at one time operated a sheep farm. She was appointed to the land-use committee in Oregon and has always enjoyed advocating for organic farming. Dr. Collins has loved horses all her life and continues to enjoy the very unique relationships with her horses.
